There is a plentitude of dining options available in Hollywood. You can sit seaside or go by Hollywood's fun downtown area. There are hundreds of choices from Sushi to Tapas and everything in between.
One of our favorite Hollywood treats is La Barraca's Tapas Bar and Cafe. La Barraca's is a gorgeous 200 seat resaurant located on 115 South 20th Avenue just south of Hollywood Boulevard, Downtown. We could not find a website for this favorite Tapas restaurant outside of Spain. All we could find on line were 4 and 5 star reviews for Chef Jorge Luis Fernandez (pictured below), owner of La Barraca Tapas Bar & Cafe in Hollywood. The food is fantastic, authentic Spanish. The flamenco show Wednesday through Saturday 2 times a night is phenomenal! It is the perfect place to bring friends and family for an unforgetable evening, even the little ones. The music and dancing is contageous. The ambiance outstanding. Please check out other reviews of this fantastic restaurant downtown and make your plans for a fantastic night out.

Near downtown Hollywood we recently discovered Lola's on Harrison. All we can say is "Wow!" the food and service was spectacular. Lola's is located at 2032 Harrison Avenue in Downtown Hollywood. We hit a wine tasting across the street before dinner and had 8:30 reservations (recommended). What a perfect evening! Phone ahead (954)927-9851. Lola's is perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. It is on the expensive side, but well worth it. The menu is ever changing, always using the freshest ingredients.

As quoted from the NYTimes "if you want to dine in sophisticated style, downtown affords at least one option in Lola’s on Harrison (2032 Harrison Street; 954-927-9851; www.lolasonharrison.com) where the chef Michael Wagner emphasizes New American cuisine with an added touch of homey-ness. His signature dish may be his Coca-Cola BBQ Beef Ribs ($22), just as sticky sweet as the name suggests. )
Hollywood Vine, the wine bar across the street is a very nice, friendly place. Pick any wine off the shelf and enjoy with some delicious cheese or dried meat. There is a $5 cork fee, well worth it to have a great bottle of wine before dinner at Lola's. They also serve up some cold appetizers like cheese and dried meats. I cannot wait to return to both these establishments for another fun night out.
Downtown Hollywood has been similarly praised for being home to a European-inspired pizza establishment, Pizza Rustica (1928 Hollywood Boulevard; 954-923-3878; www.pizza-rustica.com)
